“Isay, secondary sponsor ka sa kasal ko ha. Adjust mo gid imo schedule.” Who would refuse this request from a very dear friend?
Melissa has been my classmate and friend way back our elementary days in Tay Tung High School. She was on a different class section before we graduated high school but we would still spend time with the rest of the gang at the Computer Lab. We were then called the “Lagtoks” (Thanks to RG, I guess. hehe..). We still saw each other in La Salle since we both enrolled in engineering though she majored in Chemical Engineering later on. She then pursued her masteral studies in Thailand after working for a few months in Asian Alcohol. It was a blessing in disguise for there she met her lifetime partner, Gilson, who is taking up a doctorate degree. We constantly exchanged emails and text messages on how each of us are doing with our lives. Irregardless of her busy schedules, she would encourage me to take a masteral degree in Thailand or even consider a job there.
